Dr. Raymond Ropiak grew up in Staten Island, NY, earned his bachelor’s degree from Boston College and completed his medical degree at Sidney Kimmel Medical College. He earned his orthopedic residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals in Philadelphia, and completed his fellowship in elbow and surgery at the Rothman Institute at Thomas Jefferson University.

 

Dr. Ropiak specializes in total and reverse shoulder replacement. He is trained in open and arthroscopic shoulder repair and stabilization, including rotator cuff repair, throwing injuries, and fractures. He is also trained in total elbow arthroscopy, fracture repair, tennis elbow and alignment reconstruction. Dr. Ropiak also treats a multitude of operative and nonoperative elbow injuries.

 

He and his wife are currently living in Southern New Jersey with their two children as she practices medicine as a pediatric hospitalist at several Virtua Hospitals. Dr. Ropiak has been honored by South Jersey Magazine in 2015 as a “Best Doctor”.
