Dr. Louie Shou grew up in the Philadelphia area and he received his bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University. He received his bachelor’s degree from Temple University school of Podiatric Medicine and completed his residency at Virtua Systems, where he became chief resident. In addition, he worked as a clinical researcher in the National Cancer Institute at the National Institute of Health.
Dr. Shou completed his fellowship at the Utter Health Palo Alto Medical Foundation, affiliated with Stanford Health in California. He continued to train in foot and ankle trauma ,as well as reconstructive surgery. He also completed a European fellowship at the Schön Klinik in Munich, Germany and the Klinik Dr. Guth in Hamburg, Germany. He continues to be involved in research, and has co-authored articles in The Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Dr. Shou is an adjunct clinical instructor for the Virtua Podiatry residency program. He specializes in the treatment of all foot and ankle conditions through conservative and surgical approaches. His areas of interest are deformity correction, trauma, sports injuries and arthritic conditions of the foot and ankle.
Dr. Shou enjoys playing basketball, traveling, and spending time with his family.
